Lana A Sealy is the founder of Body Mekanix. She fuses movement principles into healthy, functional ways of using the body. She has over twenty years of Pilates experience and a passion for mindful movement, biomechanics, and bone health, and has movement experience in bone-related conditions such as scoliosis and osteoporosis.
Lana received her Yoga training from studying with Christy Punnett in Barbados, and her comprehensive Pilates Certification at the Kane School of Core Integration in New York, later becoming a Buff Bones Instructor.
She formerly taught dance at the Errol Barrow Centre of Creative Imagination at the University of the West Indies, Barbados, and danced with the Reparatory Understudy Group of the Merce Cunnigham Dance Company in New York. She holds a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in Dance from the New World School of the Arts in Miami.
